The Champaign Central Maroons''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Richwoods by a score of 18-15. Champaign Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Richwoods apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Champaign Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Richwoods, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.
Champaign Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Richwoods is also done with their season.
