The Scott's Branch Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hemingway Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hemingway took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Scott's Branch, who comes in off a win.
Scott's Branch has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Johnsonville by a score of 38-25 on Friday.
Meanwhile, sadly, Hemingway is still looking for their first win of the season after 16 matchups. They were outmatched by East Clarendon at home and fell 46-19. While losing is never fun, Hemingway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while East Clarendon is ranked 116th).
Scott's Branch's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Hemingway, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Scott's Branch against Hemingway when the teams last played last Tuesday as the team secured a 56-23 victory. Will Scott's Branch repeat their success, or does Hemingway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
