Jena never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Ouachita Parish on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 12-6 victory. Kiette Cooper made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 26 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
