The Wahoo Warriors will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Seward Bluejays at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seward took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wahoo, who comes in off a win.
Wahoo has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Ashland-Greenwood on Tuesday as Wahoo made off with a 40-16 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wahoo.
Wahoo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Teagan Watts out in front who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Lausterer, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Seward came up short against Norris last Friday and fell 46-37.
Wahoo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Seward, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Wahoo strolled past Seward in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 48-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wahoo since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
