Bedford came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand East Mills a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bedford pushed their record up to 19-5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for East Mills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will host Underwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
