The Theodore Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Spanish Fort Toros at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Theodore waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over Blount.
Theodore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Walter Cobb, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cobb has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaden "JJ" Bush, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Spanish Fort had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Robertsdale by a score of 56-45 on Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spanish Fort to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Black, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Joshua Powell was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Theodore has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Spanish Fort, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Theodore couldn't quite finish off Spanish Fort when the teams last played back in December of 2020 and fell 66-63. Can Theodore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
