Auburn has gone 8-2 against Uxbridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rockets will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Auburn had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt North Middlesex Regional on Friday. The Rockets were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Patriots. The Rockets' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Kyle McLaughlin made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Auburn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Uxbridge got themselves on the board against Bay Path RVT on Friday, but Bay Path RVT never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Minutemen. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now won three in a row.
Auburn's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.3 runs this season. As for Uxbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Auburn couldn't quite get it done against Uxbridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Will the Rockets have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
