After a string of three wins, the Fountain Inn Fury's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Wren 73-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fountain Inn in their matchups with Wren: they've now lost four in a row.
Abijah Franklin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds for Wren. Franklin also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Campbell, who scored 15 points.
Fountain Inn's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Wren, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Fountain Inn will head out on the road to take on Powdersville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Powdersville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Wren, they will be playing at home against Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Wren is ranked 22nd).
