Shelton took down Lyman Hall 42-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mark Piccirillo threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Hamden made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,680 from 9,283. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 27-20 victory over the Green Dragons last week.
Chris Golger was the best wideout in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this week as Fairfield Prep bested Hamden. Golger tallied three receptions for 76 yards. Andrew Ostrosky helped Fairfield Prep's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Tyler Burns was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 125 yards as Amity Regional beat Tony Martone's team. Teammate David Attolino added to the ground attack by rushing for 80 yards.
On the ground, Xavier's DeAngelo Berry has rushed for 763 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kris Luster. The Xavier star has 23 catches for 375 yards.
A big matchup in Southern Connecticut Division I - West this week will be when Fairfield Prep takes on the Spartans. At the moment, Tom Shea's team is in second, while Amity Regional is in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Jesuits and Alex DeAngelo's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Fairfield Prep comes in having scored 216 this season, while the Spartans have scored 201. The Jesuits scored 27 points last week as they defeated the Green Dragons.
The Falcons led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Amity Regional.
