The Southwind Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 28 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Freedom Prep Academy 47-17 at home. The victory was just what Southwind needed coming off of a 71-41 defeat in their prior contest.
Southwind's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camille Sanders led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tashawn Hubbard, who scored four points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Southwind's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-9-1 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Southwind will take on Lausanne Collegiate in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Freedom Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bluff City at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Bluff City is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
