Baseball Recap: Rowlett Plays to a Tie

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Rowlett and Lake Ridge finished up their game with a 4-4 tie.

Landon Bertucci spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Rowlett's tie gives them a new season record of 4-2-1. Meanwhile, Lake Ridge's record is now 1-3-1.

Rowlett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Birdville on the 28th. As for Lake Ridge, they will challenge Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on March 7th.
