Things were looking good for Belen Jesuit after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Jesuit by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by just one run.

Belen Jesuit got a good showing from Jadiel Estrada, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Estrada has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Jose Batista was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jake Cueto, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, American Heritage's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Jupiter by a score of 8-7.
Jordan Rich and Hayden Harrison stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rich scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Harrison went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The dominant performance gave Rich a new career-high in stolen bases. Zack Wilson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Belen Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for American Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Belen Jesuit has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like American Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Belen Jesuit beat American Heritage 5-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Belen Jesuit have another victory up their sleeve, or will American Heritage turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
