The Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Talladega County Central 53-29. The victory was familiar territory for Jefferson Christian Academy who now have three in a row.
Jefferson Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Allison Wormely out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wormely has scored at least a third of Jefferson Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Washington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Jefferson Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Talladega County Central, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Jefferson Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Ragland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ragland comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Talladega County Central on the road again on Friday and play against Vincent at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Vincent will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
