Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Woodstown Wolverines walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 34-14 margin over Penns Grove. The result was nothing new for Woodstown, who have now won six matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Woodstown was led to victory by Max Webb and Bryce Belinfanti. Webb threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, while Belinfanti rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Belinfanti was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. Anthony Ford dale did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Woodstown's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.67 points. As for Penns Grove, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Woodstown will look to defend their home field on Friday against Woodbury. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Woodbury is ranked 64th, while Woodstown is ranked 79th). Penns Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
