Mission Oak extended the longest winning streak in East Yosemite this week by beating Wasco, 47-7. The victory was the 12th in a row for the Hawks.
Mission Oak scaled the state rankings by moving to 103 from 133 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Mark Gambini's team was able to move up by topping the Tigers 47-7.
5-foot-10 quarterback Kobe Portillo of Tulare Western is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,624. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lalo Nevarez. The Porterville star has 37 catches for 923 yards.
