Sadly, the Paola Panthers are still looking for their first win of the season after 15 matches. They had to suffer through a rough 58-31 loss at the hands of Baldwin. Paola has struggled against Baldwin recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baldwin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Carr, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Leo Schoenberger was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Paola's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Baldwin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paola will take on Eudora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eudora presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Paola in Kansas (Eudora is ranked 129th, while Paola is ranked 302nd). As for Baldwin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Royal Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Baldwin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
