Shaker has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Schenectady Patriots at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Shaker ended up a good deal behind Columbia and lost 57-42.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Peyton Hoblock, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Giada Lanni was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Schenectady's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, falling 67-36. That's two games in a row now that Schenectady has lost by exactly 31 points.
Shaker's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Schenectady, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
Everything came up roses for Shaker against Schenectady when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 66-28 win. With Shaker ahead 40-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
