The Heritage Eagles suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a tough 75-54 loss at the hands of Highlands Ranch. Heritage has struggled against Highlands Ranch recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Brayden Chaney, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Tanner Terch was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Even though they lost, Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highlands Ranch only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Highlands Ranch was led to victory by Luke Bakken and Olin Anderson. Bakken scored 16 points along with three steals, while Anderson scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aidan Snody, who scored ten points.
Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Highlands Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Heritage will be playing in front of their home fans against Littleton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Littleton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Heritage is ranked 70th). As for Highlands Ranch, they will head out on the road to challenge Rangeview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
