After losing to the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets the last time they met, the Clover Blue Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Clover strolled past Fort Mill with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-31.
Karis Alexander was her usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with seven steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Taylor, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Clover's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Fort Mill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-9.
Clover will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rock Hill at 6:30 p.m. Rock Hill will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Clover surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Mill, they will head out on the road to face off against Nation Ford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Nation Ford is coming into the matchup with five straight defeats at home, meaning Fort Mill will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
