The Shenandoah Raiders's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 45-35 win over Union County. This was payback for Shenandoah, who suffered a 39-22 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shenandoah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rory McKnight, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals. McKnight hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Gabbi Patrick, who scored 6 points along with 14 rebounds.
The victory got Shenandoah back to even at 4-4. As for Union County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will take on Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hagerstown at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. Hagerstown is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
