Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Falls Despite Big Games from Isabelle Arnold and Cali Wellington

The Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars didn't have quite enough to beat the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans on Friday and fell 2-1. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 25-16 in the first set.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-15, 15-11.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cali Wellington, who had 15 assists, and Isabelle Arnold, who had 13 digs. Wellington has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Pinecrest Academy Cadence and nudges their season record down to 15-12. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 17-9 Green Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 58.8% over those games).
