The Providence Prep Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Providence Prep and five for Methodist Children's Home.
Providence Prep suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 48-18 loss at the hands of Valor Preparatory Academy. Providence Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.
Despite the defeat, Providence Prep had strong showings from Sarah Vernon, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Lainie Illian, who scored a point along with five rebounds. Vernon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-3, which was the final score in Methodist Children's Home's tilt against Valor Preparatory Academy two weeks ago.
Providence Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Methodist Children's Home, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
