The Highmore/Harrold Pirates were the 67-45 winner over the Jones County Coyotes when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Highmore/Harrold took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jones County.
Cooper Feddersen went supernova for Jones County, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Feddersen has scored at least 25% of Jones County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryer Kinsley, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Highmore/Harrold's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Jones County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highmore/Harrold will challenge Wolsey-Wessington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jones County, they will head out on the road to face off against Bison at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
