The Camden County Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Louisburg. Camden County found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up seven fewer assists than your opponent.
J'ron Pendleton and Antwan Hughes certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Pendleton scored 12 points, while Hughes scored eight points.
Louisburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jakobe Edgerton, who scored 16 points. Donte' Strickland was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Camden County bumped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Louisburg, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Camden County on the road again on Monday and play against Lakeland at 12:30 p.m. on January 15th. As for Louisburg, they will square off against Carrboro at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
