The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs were the 53-41 winner over the Faith Academy Flames when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Yavneh Academy took a hard 62-48 fall against Faith Academy on Saturday.
Yavneh Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darren Sacher, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Schwartz, who scored 15 points.
Yavneh Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Faith Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yavneh Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Slidell at 8:00 p.m. on December 12th. Faith Academy will be home for the holidays to greet San Marcos HomeSchool at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. San Marcos HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Faith Academy likes a good challenge.
