Adding to the longest winning streak in Chicago Public Illini - Heartland this week, Brooks College Prep beat John Hope College Prep 50-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Austin Poly/Austin Business & Entrepreneurship/VOISE Academy moved up to 351 from 416 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers were able to move up by topping Marshall 40-6.
Harper's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Terrence Franklin contributed 78 yards.
Franklin provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Cardinals beat Collins Academy.
David Harvey put up the best numbers in passing as Harper beat the WArriors. He had a total of 2 completions for 50 yards.
Harper's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Harvey has thrown for 586 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Devin Davis has 8 catches for 246 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Maris Carroll's team takes on the Commandos. The Cardinals are in first place, while Marshall is in third place.
The Mighty Eagles lost to Brooks College Prep 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
