After flying high against the Crosspoint Warriors on Saturday, the Neah Bay Red Devils came back down to earth. Neah Bay fell 63-56 to Forks on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Swan, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mathias Greene, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Neah Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Forks, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neah Bay will be home for the holidays to greet Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Forks will take on Ilwaco at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ilwaco has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 430 points over their last six matches.
