The Oxon Hill Clippers posted their biggest win since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Crossland, posting a 73-17 win on the road. Given Oxon Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Crossland is ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oxon Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dashani Coleman, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Madison Williams, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds.
Oxon Hill pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Crossland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Oxon Hill will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Gwynn Park at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Gwynn Park is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Crossland, they will square off against Potomac at TBD on Tuesday.
