McClave had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Everything went their way against the Holly Wildcats as they made off with  a  3-0 victory. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

 Abrielle Gomez paced McClave's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gomez got some help from  Yesenia Almanza and her 27 assists.  Ashlynn Steinbrunn controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.
McClave's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Holly, their loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 8-14.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. McClave will head out to  square off against Del Norte  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Holly, they will venture away from home to  take on Cheyenne Wells  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
