FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - After seven lead changes,
Riverside Christian Academy (Fayetteville, Tenn.) took the lead for the win when
Austin Wooten ran for a touchdown with 9:00 to go in the fourth quarter and held on to beat
Grace Christian Academy (Franklin, Tenn.) 48-42 on Saturday.
Riverside Christian Academy led 30-27 at halftime, but the Lions regained the lead on a
Brooks Josh touchdown run with 5:00 left in the third.
RCA expanded its lead to nine points entering the fourth quarter. The Fayetteville school's lone score in the quarter came on a Josh touchdown run.
The victory was a step in the right direction for Riverside Christian Academy, which was coming off a 50-20 defeat at the hands of Lighthouse Christian in its previous game.
Riverside Christian Academy (2-1) will play a Middle Tennessee (8 Man) game against The Webb School next week, while Grace Christian Academy (1-2) will take on Sacred Heart of Jesus also in a Middle Tennessee (8 Man) game.
