South Summit is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They really took it to American Leadership Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-20 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won six matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

South Summit's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Pulver, who rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Pulver is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Jack Johnson also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.
South Summit's run defense was locked in: American Leadership Academy could only muster -2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Ammon Marchant for the heroic effort on defense: he. South Summit is 6-1 when they shut down the run game so well.
South Summit's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up seven sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Nash Harline and Trayvn Boger, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece.
Meanwhile, South Sevier hadn't done well against Delta recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rams pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Rabbits.
South Sevier's win came from a few key players South Summit will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hudson Flinders, who rushed for 108 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Masen Healey, who gained 91 total yards and two touchdowns.
South Summit's record is now 7-4. As for South Sevier, their record now sits at 10-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. South Summit has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 373.2 total yards per game. However, it's not like South Sevier struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 432.7 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Everything came up roses for South Summit against South Sevier when the teams last played back in September of 2016, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
