On Saturday, everything went Arvada West's's way against Centaurus as Arvada West made off with a 62-42 victory. That 62-42 margin sets a new team best for Arvada West this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arvada West to victory, but perhaps none more so than James Hadzic, who scored 14 points. Keegen Balistreri was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Centaurus' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sam Esposito, who scored 11 points, and Matthew Vaver who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vaver has scored all season.
Arvada West now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Centaurus, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Arvada West will be playing in front of their home fans against Castle View at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Castle View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. Centaurus and Vista PEAK Prep will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Allowing an average of 51.2 points per game, Vista PEAK Prep has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game.
