The Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions lost against the Colorado Springs School Kodiaks back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The match between Dolores Huerta Prep and the Kodiaks wasn't particularly close, with the Scorpions falling 58-41.
Several Scorpions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Artrell Mccullar, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Mccullar is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zech Maldonado, who scored eight points.
Dolores Huerta Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Colorado Springs School, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dolores Huerta Prep will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Peyton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Colorado Springs School, they will head out on the road to challenge the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
