This season hasn't been kind to the Everton Tigers, who are still winless after their 14th game. They took a serious blow against Dadeville on Monday, falling 80-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Everton in their matchups with Dadeville: they've now lost eight in a row.
Josh Daniels was Everton's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Daniels also led the team in assists with three. He held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
Everton bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.1 points per game. As for Dadeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Everton has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome McAuley Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Dadeville will take on Halfway at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Halfway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Dadeville likes a good challenge.
