Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Episcopal). They never let the Collegiate Cougars get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Brooke Shelton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Cooper Beatty was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Ainsley McNeer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
