After three games on the road, Prairie Heights is heading back home. They will take on the Eastside Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Prairie Heights on the road against Lakeland Christian Academy as the team secured a 64-26 win. The victory was just what Prairie Heights needed coming off of a 57-19 defeat in their prior matchup.
Prairie Heights got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Boots out in front who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Boots has scored at least 25% of Prairie Heights' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Park, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Eastside blew past Garrett, posting a 62-31 win on the road. Given Eastside's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Garrett is ranked 312th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fairfield's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Prairie Heights' defeat dropped theirs to 3-5.
Prairie Heights was taken down by Eastside 50-17 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will Prairie Heights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
