The Lacey Township Lions''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a  tough 35-12 walloping at the hands of Howell. Lacey Township was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-0.
 Although Lacey Township took the loss, they still got scores from  Nicholas Maertens and  Aiden Wallace.
  Juan De jesus was the offensive standout of the  contest as he rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of  Vincent  Meehan, who rushed for 70 yards and  a touchdown on only five carries.
 Lacey Township has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Howell, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lacey Township will  face off against Toms River East at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Howell is on the road again  on Friday and play against Hillsborough at 7:00  p.m.  on October 27th. Hillsborough is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last four games.
