Allen East got a massive performance out of Taylor Nickles, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave Nickles a new career-high. Ava Morris was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Allen East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbus Grove only posted an OBP of .438.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Hardin Northern's offense. They came up short against Waynesfield-Goshen on Monday, falling 11-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Polar Bears were not able to get on the board.
Hardin Northern's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Allen East, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
