Football Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ridgeland can now relate to. They fell just short of the Warren Central Vikings by a score of 45-42 on Friday. The Titans have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Ridgeland still got an impressive performance from Ashton Gorden, who rushed for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries. Gorden's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards. Johnathan Henningburg was another key rusher, rushing for 79 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Nash Morgan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Warren Central, rushing for 220 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 100 yards and one touchdown while completing 90% of his passes. With that strong performance, Morgan is now averaging an impressive 107.2 rushing yards per game. Blake Caruthers also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Warren Central): his a 45-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Warren Central, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
