Makya Gerding, Surrey's leading scorer, solidified her role on Monday. Gerding went 5 of 10 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and five assists. The effort also marked the most steals (four) she has had since back in December of 2023.

Gerding and Surrey will welcome Drake/Anamoose at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Raiders, probably because Gerding had a solid game then too: she posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals.
