The Salina Central Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eisenhower Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Salina Central came up short against Andover Central and fell 52-43. Salina Central has not had much luck with Andover Central recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Eisenhower's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 70-54 fall against Hutchinson. While losing is never fun, Eisenhower can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Hutchinson is ranked 25th).
Arjay Daracan put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase George, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Salina Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
