The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sachem North, who took down 83rd ranked Sachem North, 33-10.
William Floyd's Diamonte Corley recorded the longest rushing play in Section 11 Division I this season in his game against Bay Shore last week. Corley's team defeated the Marauders as he sprinted for 57 yards on the play and finished with 144 in all.
A.j. Otranto put up the best numbers through the air as William Floyd topped Bay Shore. He finished with four completions for 39 yards and one touchdown. Otranto's favorite target this week was Vantrell Nash, who caught three passes for 26 yards.
Matthias Eato was the best wideout in the league this week as Jim Giattino's team fell to Paul Longo's team. Eato racked up one reception for 28 yards. Joel Nunez helped Bay Shore's passing attack out by catching two balls for 23 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Otranto of the Colonials is the league leader in passing yards this season with 741. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, the Marauders' Eato has rushed for 635 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is McKinley Skinner. The Bay Shore star has 20 catches for 485 yards.
A big matchup in Section 11 Division I this week will be when Sachem East takes on Connetquot. At the moment, Sachem East is in fifth, while the T-Birds are in first.
Northport moved up to 220 from 321 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 33-10 win over Sachem North helped the Tigers improve their standing.
