On Thursday, Centaurus strolled past Palmer with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. The win made it back-to-back wins for Centaurus.
It was another big night for Ingrid Lorton, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Lorton is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Nadia Colacion was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 4 steals.
The victory got Centaurus back to even at 2-2. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Centaurus will face off against Denver South at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Denver South presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Centaurus in Colorado (Denver South is ranked 34th, while Centaurus is ranked 118th). As for Palmer, they will head out on the road to face off against Vista Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
