Greensburg Salem is 0-3 against Elizabeth Forward since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Golden Lions will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brody Chismar, who threw for 259 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 77 yards. 82 of Chismar's passing yards were hauled in by Maxim Topper, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elizabeth Forward). They blew past Baldwin, posting a 57-0 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Highlanders are ranked 390th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Elizabeth Forward's win came from a few key players Greensburg Salem will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ryan Messina, who threw for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Elizabeth Forward pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.9 points over those games. As for Greensburg Salem, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Greensburg Salem took a serious blow against Elizabeth Forward when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 49-17. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Messina, who threw for 259 yards and two TDs while completing 79.2% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.
