Peoria has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Agua Fria Owls at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Thursday, Peoria didn't have too much trouble with Goldwater on the road as they won 71-57.
Nehemiah Ward and Terrell Colenburg were among the main playmakers for Peoria as the former scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals and the latter scored 19 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Colenburg has scored all season. Marcell Colenberg was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Agua Fria had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Goldwater with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-43.
David Shaw and Bryan Burrows were among the main playmakers for Agua Fria as the former scored 19 points along with three steals and the latter scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Daniels jr, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Peoria has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-16 record this season. As for Agua Fria, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14.
Everything went Peoria's way against Agua Fria when the teams last played last Tuesday as Peoria made off with a 67-46 victory. Will Peoria repeat their success, or does Agua Fria have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
