It was a good run, but the Northeast Academy Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by Ridgecroft 79-31. Northeast Academy has struggled against Ridgecroft recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Northeast Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Judson Smith, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Jake Parks was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Northeast Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Ridgecroft, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Academy will square off against Lawrence Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ridgecroft, Ridgecroft and Pungo Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pungo Christian Academy will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak alive.
