Basketball Recap: Navarro Takes a Loss

Navarro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 63-46 bruising from the Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 973rd, while the Raptors are ranked 427th).

Despite the loss, Navarro still got an impressive performance from Camden Shields, who posted 23 points. The matchup was Shields' third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Baker, who had seven points along with eight assists and four steals.

Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, they moved to 6-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Navarro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-39 victory against Wimberley on the 4th.
