The Veterans Warhawks pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Lee County 88-61. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Veterans in their matchups with Lee County: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Veterans lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chandler Thomas. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristen Abner, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Josiah Parker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lee County, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Moore, who scored 17 points along with seven assists.
Veterans' defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Lee County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.
Veterans does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lee County also has no future games currently scheduled.
