The Cabrillo Conquistadores won the last time they faced the Morro Bay Pirates, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Cabrillo came out on top against Morro Bay by a score of 52-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cabrillo.
When it comes to explaining why Morro Bay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Justin Campbell. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Sergio Mendoza was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
The win got Cabrillo back to even at 7-7. As for Morro Bay, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Orcutt Academy the next time they take the court. Morro Bay will head out to face Orcutt Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Cabrillo will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
