The Pine Creek Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Pine Creek 4, Regis Jesuit 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Pine Creek barely beat Doherty the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Spartans 12-4 on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Jake Holm made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Holm was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jackson Minton was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Dane Dial, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Regis Jesuit couldn't beat Heritage on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Raiders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4. That makes it the first time this season the Raiders have let down their home crowd.
Regis Jesuit also got a good showing from Lucas Stavenger, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stavenger has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Chase Massey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Jack Manthey was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Regis Jesuit's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 17-5. As for Pine Creek, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.
Pine Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Regis Jesuit when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
